This does not increase the price you pay.<\/li>\n<li>Editorial decisions (what we review, what we rank #1, what we say) are <em>not<\/em> for sale.<\/li>\n<li>Brands cannot buy a ranking, buy a positive review, or pay to remove a negative one.<\/li>\n<li>We purchase 100% of the products we test with our own money. We do not accept free review units.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<h2>What is an Affiliate Program?<\/h2>\n<p>\n          An affiliate program is an agreement between a website and a retailer (e.g., Amazon)<br \/>\n          that pays the website a small commission whenever a visitor sent from that site makes a<br \/>\n          purchase.\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          For you, the reader, nothing changes. You pay the exact same price on Amazon whether<br \/>\n          you arrived through our link or by searching Amazon directly. The commission comes out<br \/>\n          of Amazon&#8217;s marketing budget, not your wallet.\n        <\/p>\n<h2>Which Programs Do We Participate In?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n            <strong>Amazon Services LLC Associates Program<\/strong> &mdash; the primary program.<br \/>\n            Most product links on the Site are Amazon affiliate links.<br \/>\n            <em>Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc., or its affiliates.<\/em>\n          <\/li>\n<li>We may occasionally join additional reputable retailer programs (e.g. Best Buy, Home Depot, Target affiliate portals). See full policy.&#8221;\n        <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>How We Prevent Affiliate Bias (The 6 Rules)<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>No free review units.<\/strong> Every product is bought at retail on our own credit card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No pre-approval of reviews.<\/strong> Brands never see a draft, never get to comment on ratings, and can&#8217;t veto a negative review.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No sponsored placements in top-10 lists.<\/strong> The #1 spot is earned by test performance, not by who pays the highest commission.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weighted scoring formula.<\/strong> Ratings are computed from a written 9-factor formula we publish in our About page, not gut feeling.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Every recommendation has at least 2 negative bullet points.<\/strong> If every &#8220;review&#8221; sounds like a press release, it&#8217;s biased. We make sure every review has honest downsides.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Author names are on every review.<\/strong> Real humans take credit for what they write, publicly and permanently.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Advertising &amp; Sponsored Content<\/h2>\n<p>\n          The Site may run display ads served through standard ad networks (e.g., Mediavine,<br \/>\n          Monumetric, Google AdSense) to cover server and testing costs. These ads are clearly<br \/>\n          labeled by the network and are programmatically delivered &mdash; they do not influence<br \/>\n          editorial content.\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          <strong>No sponsored content \/ native advertorial policy:<\/strong> We do not publish<br \/>\n          paid posts, press-release rewrites, or brand-written articles.
