Our Commitment to Transparency

PureAirGuide believes in full transparency with our readers. This page explains
exactly how our business model works, how we make money, and — most importantly
— what it does (and does not) do to the reviews and rankings you read
on this Site.

What is an Affiliate Program?

An affiliate program is an agreement between a website and a retailer (e.g., Amazon)
that pays the website a small commission whenever a visitor sent from that site makes a
purchase.

For you, the reader, nothing changes. You pay the exact same price on Amazon whether
you arrived through our link or by searching Amazon directly. The commission comes out
of Amazon’s marketing budget, not your wallet.

Which Programs Do We Participate In?

• Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — the primary program.
  Most product links on the Site are Amazon affiliate links.
  Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc., or its affiliates.
• We may occasionally join additional reputable retailer programs (e.g. Best Buy, Home Depot, Target affiliate portals). When we do, we will update this list here.
• We do not participate in private CPA networks, incentivized-download offers, VPN payouts, loan offers, or any monetization we think would conflict with reader trust.

In-Article Disclosures

In addition to this page, every article on PureAirGuide that contains affiliate links
includes a short FTC disclosure at the top and bottom of the article, before
the reader reaches the first link. We believe in “disclose early, disclose often.”

How We Prevent Affiliate Bias (The 6 Rules)

1. No free review units. Every product is bought at retail on our own credit card.
2. No pre-approval of reviews. Brands never see a draft, never get to comment on ratings, and can’t veto a negative review.
3. No sponsored placements in top-10 lists. The #1 spot is earned by test performance, not by who pays the highest commission.
4. Weighted scoring formula. Ratings are computed from a written 9-factor formula we publish in our About page, not gut feeling.
5. Every recommendation has at least 2 negative bullet points. If every “review” sounds like a press release, it’s biased. We make sure every review has honest downsides.
6. Author names are on every review. Real humans take credit for what they write, publicly and permanently.

Advertising & Sponsored Content

The Site may run display ads served through standard ad networks (e.g., Mediavine,
Monumetric, Google AdSense) to cover server and testing costs. These ads are clearly
labeled by the network and are programmatically delivered — they do not influence
editorial content.

No sponsored content / native advertorial policy: We do not publish
paid posts, press-release rewrites, or brand-written articles. Any future exceptions
would be explicitly labeled as “SPONSORED” in the headline, the byline, and the URL
category, and would never appear alongside editorial product rankings.
